Meet Licorice

Licorice is a 3-year-old Dachshund/Lab mix weighing about 25 lbs, and she is the perfect combination of playful, affectionate, and full of personality. This adorable little girl loves being part of the action and happiest when she’s spending time with her people. Whether it’s heading out for a car ride, going for a walk, enjoying playtime, or relaxing beside you after a fun day, Licorice is always ready to be your loyal sidekick.

She gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids, making her a wonderful addition to many different types of families. Licorice has a confident, fun-loving personality and does best with calm, easygoing canine companions and proper introductions. She’s social, smart, and loves attention from the people she trusts.

Licorice is crate trained, leash trained, and already knows the “sit” command. She is also very treat motivated, which makes learning new things fun and rewarding. With her medium-high energy level, she would thrive in a home that can provide regular walks, playtime, and lots of love and interaction. She’s an intelligent girl who enjoys staying busy and involved in family life.

One thing to know about Licorice is that she can be vocal when she gets excited, and because she’s such a clever girl, she will need a secure yard and supervised outdoor time to keep her safe. She also prefers having her own space during mealtime, so feeding separately from other pets is recommended.

Licorice is looking for a family that will continue helping her build confidence while embracing her happy, spirited personality. In return, she’ll give endless love, laughter, companionship, and plenty of tail wags. She’s a sweet, entertaining little dog with so much love to give, and she’s more than ready to find a forever home to call her own.
