Our Mission
BACKSTREET PAWS RESCUE is a registered non-profit, volunteer-based organization that helps homeless, abandoned street dogs find their forever homes. We are dedicated to providing the best possible care for these animals until they can be placed into loving homes. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the number of dogs that are euthanized each year in shelters due to a lack of adoptions. We believe that every dog deserves a chance at a happy life and we are committed to helping as many dogs as possible.
How It All Started
"My rescue dog was a bag of bones, shaking and scared when I first met her at a spay & neuter clinic I volunteered at. I could tell she had been through a lot in her short life. She had cuts and scars all over her body, evidence of abuse and other tortures, but despite it all, she trusted humans enough to let us help her. I decided then and there to adopt her. My family and I named her Layla and from that day on she became my everything. I made it my mission to help as many other abused, homeless and neglected dogs as possible.
