Meet Mala – a gentle soul with a powerful story of survival.

Rescued from a remote dumping ground in rural Albania, Mala was one of the forgotten — abandoned, alone, and struggling to survive. She was brought in during a spay and return effort, and it was soon discovered she was pregnant. Complications led to an emergency abortion, and Mala came heartbreakingly close to losing her life.

But this resilient girl fought hard — and won.

After a long recovery, her sweet spirit began to shine. It quickly became clear that returning her to the streets wasn’t an option. Since then, Mala has been living in paid boarding, waiting patiently for the day she’d get her second chance.

Now, thanks to a rare flight volunteer, that day is finally here.

Mala is an affectionate, joyful, and loving dog who gets along beautifully with other dogs and adores people, including kids. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and 4DX negative. At around 55 lbs, she’s a perfect medium-large companion who would thrive in a home where she’s safe, cherished, and included as part of the family.

After everything she’s endured, Mala is ready to start her new chapter — not as a survivor, but as someone’s beloved best friend.
